Founded in 1946, the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management is the graduate business school in the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University, located in Ithaca, New York. The Graduate School provides an array of programs including a 2‐year full time MBA, an Accelerated 1‐year MBA, and four world class Executive MBA programs including the EMBA Americas, EMBA Metro NY, EMBA/MS in Healthcare Leadership, and other tailored executive education programs.
EMBA Metro New York provides working professionals the opportunity to pursue an Ivy League graduate degree by undertaking a rigorous course of study in business management without interrupting their careers. Approximately 140 students are enrolled in the program, equally divided between first and second year. Students take classes on alternate weekends at the HNA Premier Palisades Conference Center, 14 miles north of New York City. The Metro NY MBA is a residential program with lodging, meals and transportation from/to NYC provided to students on class weekends. Students begin the program in July with a weeklong residence session on the Cornell campus and return for three additional residencies during the course of study. Based on teamwork and interactive pedagogies, the 22‐month program provides students a challenging course of study focused on strategy, innovation, finance and leadership.
EMBA/MS in Healthcare Leadership is a business program jointly administered by the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management and Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. The Program launched with its first cohort in Fall 2017. It provides working professionals in the healthcare industry the opportunity to pursue two Ivy League graduate degrees by undertaking a rigorous course of study in business management and healthcare leadership without interrupting their careers. Approximately 100 students are enrolled in the program between first and second year. Students take classes on alternate weekends at the Cornell Tech Campus in New York City. Students begin the program in July with a weeklong residence session on the Cornell campus and return to Ithaca or a NY metropolitan conference facility for three additional residencies during the course of study. Based on teamwork and interactive pedagogies, the 22‐month program provides students a challenging course of study focused on strategy, innovation, and finance through MBA coursework, and healthcare policy, technology, and leadership through MS coursework.

The SC Johnson Graduate School of Management is seeking a seasoned business school Senior Director of Admissions to drive the continued growth and development of the EMBA Metro NY and the EMBA/MS Healthcare Leadership programs. With a passion for student recruitment and extensive experience in enrollment management, the Senior Director will have broad autonomy to lead the Admissions function of the EMBA Metro NY and the EMBA/MS programs through their next phase of development.
Based in NYC, the Senior Director of Admissions is an integral member of the Executive MBA team. S/he will work collaboratively with the Associate Dean, Program Directors, program staff, and other members of the EMBA team to set overall strategy for the admissions growth of the programs and achieve ambitious recruiting targets. They will lead a geographically diverse team split between Ithaca and New York City.
With broad responsibility for student recruitment, corporate relations, and event management, the Senior Director assumes both strategic and tactical roles. S/he collaborates with Executive MBA colleagues, various school services and external partners to provide a life changing learning journey to students from diverse educational backgrounds, functional areas, and industries. The Senior Director shares responsibility for enrollment success, including achieving admissions targets and student quality objectives.
The Senior Director of Admissions is responsible for managing an effective team to execute this strategy, including presentation materials, entry into new markets segments, application processing and prospective student management, website management, open houses, applicant interviews, information session events, admissions decisions, and yielding admitted candidates. In collaboration with Admissions and Marketing colleagues, specific responsibilities include:
Developing and executing annual admissions and marketing plan to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets.
Cultivating and maintaining corporate relations and spearhead B2B recruitment strategies.
Planning, organizing and executing student recruitment events.
Hosting information sessions and events with prospective students, including on class weekends.
Conducting applicant interviews.
Admissions pipeline monitoring and management.
Attending two residence sessions at Cornell each year.
Visiting classes regularly at Palisades to engage students to identify potential corporate opportunities.
Engaging the EMBA career management team for admissions support.
Developing and managing the annual admissions calendar.
Admissions budgeting and cost control.
Engaging faculty as content providers for admissions activities.
Cultivating alumni relations as a student recruitment channel.
Serving on Senior Management Committee for Executive MBA Programs.
Strong communications skills; writing, editing, public speaking and multimedia.
Event planning experience.
Mastery of Microsoft Office applications.
Salesforce or similar CRM experience a plus.
Technology enabled learning experience a plus.
REPORTING AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The Senior Director of Admissions reports directly to the Executive Director for the Metro NY program, with a dotted line to the Program Director for the EMBA/MS program. In addition, the Senior Director of Admissions will oversee a team of three admissions staff.
