The Team: The team produces and delivers regular research, analysis and commentary on markets and investing, ranging from in-depth papers, research notes, and blogs, to more regular commentary. Our goal is to help investors to make better use of indices in their investing process, and to provide actionable insights to our customers. The team has an unusual mandate to conduct thought-provoking and free-thinking research into the drivers of markets, active and passive investment performance and a wide range of investment strategies. We are a highly collaborative team, with a global mandate. We value intellectual honesty, curiosity, ambition and innovative thinking. The Impact: Our market-leading research helps investors, traders and other finance professionals to understand the role of index-linked investing, and to enhance their potential usage of indices as part of the investment process. Our content is made freely available online, and frequently delivered live at conferences, at one-on-one meetings with clients and to media. These materials form a crucial part of the conversations we have with our community of clients and users, used by our client-facing teams, our clients - and their clients - as well as media and the broader finance community. Reporting to the EMEA head of Index Investment Strategy, your work will also provide you with a high profile within and outside of the organization.
At the point you join the group, your primary responsibility will be to learn about the range of S&P DJI indices, the ecosystem of clients and their needs, and to provide day-to-day support to the team in London.
As you develop your skills and knowledge, you will be begin to produce analysis and commentary on the performance and characteristics of S&P DJI-branded indices across asset classes, geographies, and strategies.
You will also be able to articulate - via presentations, written materials, and meetings with clients and media - the value proposition of index-linked investments and their potential applications in a portfolio context.
In time, you will begin taking the lead on your own research projects, and begin to add your voice and perspective to our research, as well as developing an expertise in certain areas.

Minimum 2:1 or equivalent degree in a numerate subject from a respected university
Extremely strong verbal & written communication skills
Fluent command of English
Creative, curious and entrepreneurial mindset
Strong analytical problem solving skills
Some programming experience Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualification in a numerate subject
The demonstrable ability to conduct self-directed analysis and research
Experience in presenting, either commercially or academically (e.g. teaching)
Familiarity with indices, index-based products and core tenets of investment theory
