Candidates should have a strong academic background in history and social studies. Previous experience with middle school teaching, and an advanced degree is preferred. Also desired: an appreciation of the developmental and learning needs of middle school students; the ability to teach a range of social studies topics; an ability to contribute through coaching and/or extracurricular programs.
