Job Description:
Episcopal School of Jacksonville is seeking to fill a vacancy in the Middle School History Department for the 2019 - 2020 school year. The successful candidate will be able to teach American History to 1877 and World Geography. Contribution to the larger school community through academic advising, in addition to coaching or sponsoring of extra-curricular programs, is also expected.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in history; advanced degree preferred. At least two years teaching experience, including experience teaching American History.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate a commitment to teaching historical thinking skills, including inquiry through primary sources and development of written analysis. Experience with interest in learner-centered teaching and a willingness to incorporate Harkness skills. Work collaboratively to achieve departmental and school-wide goals. Possess a deep and thorough knowledge of the subject matter.
