The College of Liberal Arts invites application for a non-tenure track, 10 month Lecturer position, renewable for one additional year, in the Department of Geography beginning August 2019.
PhD or ABD in Geography, strong commitment to excellence in teaching, demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diversity of TU students, faculty, staff, and community.
Teach four 3-credit courses per semester including Introduction to Human Geography, World Regional Geography, and/or Introduction to Physical Geography. Lecturers are responsible preparing syllabi, lecturing, maintaining course records, evaluating student performance, and holding regular weekly office hours to meet with students. In addition, lecturers are expected to attend faculty meetings and participate in activities for the promotion of the Department of Geography and Environmental Planning.
