The University of Iowa Department of Geographical & Sustainability Sciences invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position for the 2019-2020 academic year. The appointment will begin in August 21, 2019. We seek candidates with the ability to teach courses in human-environment interaction and physical geography . Courses to be taught include Contemporary Environmental Issues, Water Resources, Global Environment (Introduction to Physical Geography), and Introduction to Sustainability . Additional course assignments will depend on the candidate's expertise and the programmatic needs of the department. A PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Geography or related field is required at the time of appointment.
