Position Title: Clinical Assistant Professor in Geographic Information Science, Buffalo and Singapore

The Department of Geography at the State University of New York, University at Buffalo, (www.buffalo.edu/cas/geography.html), invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor with an appointment to begin August 2020.
This is a full-time, non-tenure-track but renewable term faculty (10 month) appointment, with an emphasis on teaching that will be split between University at Buffalo (NY) and Singapore Institute of Management (Singapore). One or two semesters per year will be spent teaching in Singapore.
We seek a colleague who can teach courses in Geographic Information Science (GIS) at the undergraduate level as well as contribute to the department's courses in general education. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Geography or a closely related field and demonstrable teaching and student mentoring experience in GIS and Geography. Other responsibilities may include teaching general education courses, graduate courses, student advisement, developing and teaching online curricula, participating in on-going curricula development, and representing the department in recruitment, fundraising, alumni development, and community outreach efforts. The applicant will be expected to teach up to four courses per semester based on programmatic needs. Additional teaching and salary opportunities may exist during winter and summer sessions in Buffalo and Singapore.
A competitive salary, local accommodation in Singapore, and round-trip airfare between Buffalo and Singapore will be provided. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and in Singapore. Employment in this position will be conditional upon receipt of applicable employment authorization for both the United States and the Government of Singapore.
