Position Summary: The Department of Marine and Coastal Sciences at Rutgers University, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a motivated faculty member to join a collaborative and exciting community as an “Aquatic Interface Environmental Engineer”, focused on understanding environmental dynamics in both natural and human altered environments. This position while housed School of Environmental and Biological Science will work as a shared line with Rutgers School of Engineering's Center of Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) and the Department of Geography within the School of Arts and Sciences. The candidate will be expected to maintain existing classes focused on the dynamics of the ocean-land interface, engineering impacts on coastal systems, and affects of climate change. The candidate will also be expected to develop an active externally funded research program. Rutgers is ranked within the top 25 public universities in the United States with a vibrant student body of >50,000 students. The candidate is expected to expand and develop an internationally recognized teaching program while also developing a research program review of applications will begin November 2019 and continue until the position is filled. Minimum Education and Experience: PhD required, and Experience in Engineering.
