UCSF School of Medicine and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Division of Critical Care, Department of Pediatrics HS Clinical, Clinical X, or In-Residence Series
The Division of Critical Care in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals are recruiting a board eligible/board certified Critical Care Physician to join our academic division of Critical Care.
Qualifications: Ideal candidates are board eligible/board certified in Pediatric Critical Care with academic interests that include research and medical education.
The position is full-time, serving the Pediatric ICUs of Benioff Children’s Hospitals. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in MB is a 20-bed monitored unit and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Oakland is a 22-bed monitored unit. Both provide care to a multidisciplinary population of patients that include: post-operative orthopedic, ENT, neurosurgical, renal/liver/pancreas transplant, complex GI and hepatology patients, medically fragile and complex children with special needs, and Trauma (Oakland campus). Pediatric residents, advanced NPs, and Critical Care fellows provide continuity of care to these units and daily rounds occur in a multi-disciplinary fashion supported by pharmacy, social work, case management and a dietician. The position includes nighttime coverage. The position would include an appointment as an HS Clinical, Clinical X, or In-Residence at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level at UCSF in the Division of Critical Care. During off service time, there is potential opportunity for career development in research, education, hospital based quality and Process Improvement, complex care delivery, or additional coursework offered through UCSF, focused programmatic involvement.
