Position Title: Clinical Assistant Professor in Economic Geography, Buffalo and Singapore

The Department of Geography at the State University of New York, University at Buffalo, www.buffalo.edu/cas/geography.html, invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor with an appointment to begin January 2022.
This is a full-time, non-tenure-track but renewable term faculty (10 month) appointment, with an emphasis on teaching that will be split between University at Buffalo (NY) and Singapore Institute of Management (Singapore). Singapore obligations are anticipated to be 14 weeks per year, likely in the Fall semester.
We seek a colleague who can teach courses in Economic Geography and International Trade at the undergraduate level as well as contribute to the department's courses in general education. In addition to our general human geography curriculum, we have a unique International Trade degree program that includes international business, trade and development courses.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Geography or a closely related field and demonstrable teaching and student mentoring experience. Other responsibilities may include developing online curricula, participating in on-going curricula development, and representing the department in recruitment, fundraising, alumni development, and community outreach efforts. The applicant will be expected to teach four courses per semester based on programmatic needs. Course load may be adjusted based on significant administrative responsibilities as assigned. Additional teaching and salary opportunities may exist during winter and summer sessions in Buffalo and Singapore.

Employment in this position will be conditional upon receipt of applicable employment authorization from the Government of Singapore.
