Experience teaching in multiple modalities (online and/or hybrid). Teaching day and evening at the main campus and at The Woodlands is required
Strong working knowledge of bilingual research methodologies
Ability to build productive professional relationships with public schools, colleges, and local communities
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching in Spanish a range of courses in bilingual education and English. This individual must embrace the opportunity to make a positive impact on the community through high-quality, integrated teaching, scholarship, and service in keeping with the motto and mission of Sam Houston State University. Contribute to the Bilingual/ESL program as a collaborative member of the program area; collaborate with nationally and internationally recognized faculty in research and program development; continue the program's history of having a positive impact on a state, regional, national, and international level; act as content expert and liaison in the area of bilingual and ESL education and demonstrate a commitment to diversity and social justice.
