Assistant Professor, Earth Materials
The Department of Earth, Environmental and Resource Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in the field of Earth Materials, for fall 2022. Research interests may be in any area within the solid earth geosciences, including petrology, volcanology, mineralogy and related fields. We are most interested in applicants with expertise in state-of-the-art higher temperature mineralogical and petrological techniques and concepts that complement our existing programs in natural resources and economic geology, geophysics, geothermal energy, structural geology, and geochronology, among others. The candidate will be expected to attract research funding from external sources. The successful candidate will teach core geoscience courses such as igneous/metamorphi
