The Division of Medical Genetics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, is recruiting a Clinical Geneticist to join the Section of Biochemical Genetic Medicine. The appointment will be at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank in the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, Adjunct, In Residence or Ladder faculty series. Academic rank will be commensurate with background and experience. This position will include clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland children’s hospitals. The faculty member will participate in and contribute to the Pediatric Department mission of transforming child health through excellence in research, education, and patient care.
The Section of Biochemical Genetic Medicine includes a dedicated nurse clinical coordinator, a dedicated Nurse Practitioner, a dedicated genetic counselor, and a dedicated metabolic dietitian.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates will possess a Medical Degree and License, Board Eligibility or Certification in Clinical Genetics, and Board Eligibility or Certification in Medical or Clinical Biochemical Genetics.
