The Division of Nephrology Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals are recruiting a full-time pediatric nephrologist to the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank of the HS Clinical, Clinical X, Adjunct, and In Residence series. Academic Rank is commensurate with experience. This position may have clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland locations and would actively contribute to the Division/Department’s mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care.
Qualified candidates should be experienced and committed to patient care and have demonstrated interest and skill in clinical research and in teaching. Applicants should be board eligible or certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Nephrology. The Division of Pediatric Nephrology provides the complete range of pediatric nephrology services and is fully integrated into a combined pediatric and adult kidney transplant program. We have dedicated clinics for kidney transplantation, peritoneal dialysis, hypertension and chronic kidney disease and an ACGME accredited fellowship program. The successful candidate will be an attending physician at the Benioff Children’s Hospital, working in pediatric nephrology subspecialty clinics and on the hospital wards. Candidates will also precept/supervise/teach medical students, interns, residents and fellows, and consults with nurses and nurse practitioners while in clinic and on the wards.
