The Michigan State University Department of Geography, Environment, and Spatial Sciences has openings for up to five (5) part-time fixed-term instructors to teach one or two courses per year. We are searching for candidates with expertise or experience teaching in geospatial tools or technologies (for example, geographic information, GIS, remote sensing, cartography, GPS, spatial statistics), physical geography, or human (urban/economic) geography.

Minimum Requirements
This position requires a Master's degree for the rank of Instructor or a Bachelor's degree for the rank of Assistant Instructor, from an accredited university. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence and/or significant work experience related to the teaching assignment (for example, content proofing and development, answering student questions, troubleshooting technical issues, grading, calculating final grades, working with a diverse student population). Candidates must have the ability to teach at the undergraduate level and create online content for geography courses, and availability to teach in-person courses in East Lansing.
