The Department of Geography and Environment, housed in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) and Faculty of Natural and Applied Science (FNAS) of Trinity Western University, invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor beginning August 16, 2023. The successful applicant will be able to teach in established TWU undergraduate degree programs in Geography and Environmental Studies and will have an ongoing research program in her/his field. The ideal candidate will teach from a multidisciplinary physical geography perspective, and have experience instructing Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The appointment will be in Physical Geography, specifically in the fields of geomorphology, atmospheric science, earth systems and processes, and other fields in physical geography (preferably, hydrology or biogeography). The successful applicant will be required to teach introductory and upper-level courses in Earth and Atmospheric Science, Geomorphology, and Climatology, and selected courses in the candidate’s field of specialization. The desired candidate will have completed or be near completion of a PhD in Physical Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Science, or a related field, with a strong record of teaching and research.
