Job Description:

Trinity University is seeking one or more part-time faculty members to teach the following courses in the Urban Studies program:
SOCI/URBS 1310: The Urban Experience (Fall 2023 and Spring 2024). This course is an introduction to the city, its origins, contemporary form, and likely future.
ANTH/SOCI/URBS 3465: Research Methods: GIS (Fall 2023). This course provides a hands-on approach for learning how to undertake spatial social research focused on the design and completion of a semester-long research project.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical responsibilities of part-time faculty members include but not limited to:
* Developing the course syllabus and ensuring that the syllabus meets departmental and University standards
* Designing and delivering lectures, discussions, in-class activities, and assignments
* Grading assigned papers, quizzes, and exams
* Assigning early, midterm, and final grades in compliance with University deadlines
* Maintaining office hours as directed by the department chair or program director
* Making student accommodations as determined by the Office of Student Accessibility Services
* Adhering to all instructional policies as published in the Faculty Handbook and the Courses of Study Bulletin

EDUCATION
Required:
A graduate-level degree in Urban Studies or Public Administration or Geography or Urban Planning or Community Development or Real Estate and Development or GIS, or related fields.

EXPERIENCE
Required:
Experience practicing or teaching in Urban Studies.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

* Ability to deliver engaging lectures, discussions, or in-class activities
* Ability to design rigorous and meaningful assignments
