Detailed Position Information
The Department of American Studies at the University of Alabama seeks a renewable contract assistant professor (RCAP) beginning in the Fall 2024 semester. The position is a renewable contract. The Department desires a qualified scholar to offer introductory and advanced courses in Southern history and culture.The letter of interest should make clear what prepares the candidate to teach about American culture, literature, arts, and institutions from an interdisciplinary perspective. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand by August 15, 2024.The deadline for applications is September 15.
