Assistant Professor of Caribbean Studies
The Department of Hispanic Languages and Literatures at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in contemporary Latin American literatures and cultures with a research focus on the Caribbean. Successful candidates must have a PhD in Latin American literatures (or closely related field) at the time of appointment, and evidence of foundational knowledge of literary-critical debates in Latin American studies. We encourage applications from candidates whose pedagogy and scholarship push the boundaries of the Latin Americanist canon in terms of critical approach, media form, or diverse political geographies and histories.
