The Department of Tourism and Hospitality at Kingsborough Community College invites applications for Adjunct Lecturers to teach undergraduate courses in Tourism and Hospitality Program. The successful candidate will teach online and/or on-campus, undergraduate courses in various areas of Tourism and Hospitality with specific regard to Customer Service, Destination Geography, Sabre GDS, Front Office Operations, Opera Property Management System, Hospitality Marketing, Labor Management and Human Resources, Event/Meeting Planning and other Tourism and Hospitality related courses as needed.
Performs teaching and related faculty functions in area(s) of expertise.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in area (s) of expertise. The ability to teach successfully in various teaching modalities. The ability to demonstrate expertise with Blackboard LMS. Excellent communication skills with student. Department and College participation/interaction is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teaching experience in Tourism and Hospitality. Current of prior industry experience. Instructor certification from the American Hotel and Lodging Association Educational Institute.
