Position Details:
The college is accepting applications for an instructor to teach the following class:

SOC 250: INTRODUCTION TO PACIFIC STUDIES
Spring Semester 2022 (January - May)

Description: This course introduces students to the geography, histories, cultures, and societies of the Pacific Islands (Polynesia, Melanesia, Micronesia, and Australia). Topics include traditional and contemporary religious practices, languages, arts, and athletics in the Pacific. The course emphasizes Pacific Islander perspectives and experiences as it examines the effects of colonization, resistance and rights movements, and current challenges to the health and well-being of Pacific Island communities.
